Des Racines aux Etoiles

El Kantara, "the bridge" in Arabic, sits at the edge of the Sahara in northeastern Algeria, near Batna, where I was born. This series is a homecoming: eight photographs made in the light and dust of a January afternoon in the land of my roots. The images are spare, deliberate, and deeply personal, a photographer returning not as a tourist but as someone looking for the evidence of where they came from.
