The debate between 28mm and 35mm for street photography usually turns into a gear argument. On the street, for me at least, it feels like something more personal: two different ways of seeing, two different relationships with your subject, two different photographers you become depending on which lens is on your camera. My honest take after years of shooting with both on Leica M, Leica Q, Ricoh GR and Fujifilm X70.

I arrived in Los Angeles carrying a version of America built entirely from cinema and music. The streets were not what I expected. Not worse, not better. More complicated. This is what the American dream looks like from the outside.
